2.      UMM’s Yard Sale, Friday and Saturday

3.      Church-Wide Picnic Wednesday, May 13th 5:00 p.m.

4.      VBS June 2-5……Register Online

5.      Welcome Tiffany Hagood….FUMC’s New Director of Children’s Ministry

1.  This Sunday @ FUMC

Have you ever heard a great story…..one so good you just couldn’t wait to tell someone about it?  When you do come across a really good, moving story you find yourself wanting to tell everyone don’t you?  Maybe the story is personal….or maybe you discovered it in a good book…whatever the case, if you choose not to share a great story then it probably wasn’t very good to start with.  A stories ability to be circulated and its staying power defines its worth.

The Gospel is the world’s greatest love story.  The very idea that God gave His only Son so the world might be forgiven and have life and life abundant is marvelous.  The truth is, however, if you aren’t moved to tell this story…..then it probably doesn’t mean very much to you.

This Sunday @ FUMC we are going to look at the story of Phillip and the Ethiopian.  In it you will find a seeker……and you will find someone who had such a deep love for the Gospel story he was willing to share it with anyone and everyone who would listen.   Plan to be with us this Sunday as we hear the world’s greatest love story…..and begin to ask if it means very much to us!

Don’t forget this Sunday is Mother’s Day…..and what better way to honor your mother than to come and worship Christ Jesus our Lord.    Also, this Sunday we will have our Senior Breakfast in the fellowship hall during the Sunday school hour.  Then, at the very end of our 10:30 a.m. worship service, we will introduce you to our graduating Seniors and give you a chance to greet them.

2.  UMM’s Yard Sale, Friday and Saturday

Don’t forget the United Methodist Men’s Yard Sale will take place at FUMC (rain or shine!) this Friday and Saturday.  The money they raise goes to support some very important mission projects….so plan to stop by and help them out.

3.  Church-Wide Picnic Wednesday, May 13th 5:00 p.m.

Last night we wrapped up our Wednesday Nights @ FUMC for the summer…but we have one last Wednesday evening event you won’t want to miss.  Next Wednesday, May 13, at 5:00 p.m. we will gather at the church for a Church-Wide Picnic.  We will provide all the food and some games for children and adults….all you have to do is show up with an appetite.  We will have some chairs and tables outside (weather permitting) but we also encourage you to bring a lawn chair.

Plan to be with us for a great evening of fellowship…..and a chance to visit with some of our new families at our Church-Wide Picnic!

4.   June 2-5……Register Online

Vacation Bible School is quickly approaching and we want to remind you that this year you can register online at our website, www.fumcpulaski.com

Check out the website to find out all the details.  And don’t forget….we need your help!  If you are willing to volunteer please email Whitney at whitney@fumcpulaski.com

5.  Welcome Tiffany Hagood…..FUMC’s New Director of Children’s Ministry

I am excited to announce a new addition to our church staff.  On Tuesday we hired Tiffany Hagood to be our new director of Children’s Ministries.  We have recently seen tremendous growth in the area of young adults and children and we want to make sure Giles County knows we are committed to offering the most vibrant and exciting children’s ministry around.

Tiffany is a great addition to our staff, bringing excitement, creativity, and a lot of energy to her work area.  She will work with children from birth to 5th grade, concentrating on growing our current children’s ministries, as well as, developing new and exciting ministries for children.   Tiffany will begin work on May 15, starting out half-time as she gets oriented with our programs, and quickly moving to full-time within a couple of months.

We feel blessed to have Tiffany and her many gifts and talents as a part of our staff.  You can read more about her new position on our website in a few days….and she will soon have an FUMC email address.  In the meantime, she will be with us this Sunday at both 8:15 worship and 10:30 worship so you will have a chance to greet her and welcome her to our staff.

As you can see, there is plenty happening at FUMC…….and plenty more to come.  Until then, I look forward to seeing you on Sunday………

Wayne
