Our Mission

The mission of the Growing Tree Nursery School, a not-for-profit outreach of the First United Methodist Church of Pulaski, Tennessee, is to provide, in partnership with families, the best possible opportunity for the growth of each child emotionally, spiritually, socially, physically, and academically in a secure, warm, safe, and loving ​Christian environment.

Our program includes a free play period; activities suitable for two, three four-year-olds, ​and elementary school-age children such as using ​paints, glue, crayons, etc.; story time; music time; outdoor play; Bible Story and Christian Music time; opportunities to practice good citizenship and leadership; rest time; and time to explore the child’s world.

Hours of Operation

The hours of operation are 6:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday - Friday.

The preschool three-hour core program hours are from 8:00 am to 11:00 am and the after-school program is from 2:45 pm to 5:30 pm on days when public school is in session.

When there is no public school, there may be care available for our school-age program.

Welcome to the Growing Tree Nursery School page - a mission of First United Methodist Church of Pulaski. We would love to enroll your child in our nursery school or after-school program.

We pride ourselves on a developmentally appropriate program that encourages physical, social, emotional, and cognitive ​development.  The Growing Tree has been open for over 50 years and continues to be a safe and nurturing environment where your child can grow and learn.

Enrollment is open to children who will be two and one half, three, and four by September 30 who are in good health with no extreme physical or emotional difficulties. 

Our after school class is open to children in grades K-3.

We currently have one 2 ½-year-old class, two three-year-old classes, and two four-year-old classes.  The Growing Tree does not discriminate for enrollment purposes on the basis of race, color, religion, or physical or mental disability.
