What do United Methodists believe about baptism?Baptism is an outward sign of God's love, which works in people's lives before they are even aware. Therefore, all people, including infants, are welcome to be baptized. However, because baptism symbolizes God's never-failing grace, each person should only be baptized once. So, if you have been baptized before, we will not baptize you again.

What is the difference between United Methodists and Global Methodists?United Methodists are part of a large governing body of connected churches that share a book of discipline and work together as a unified body within the World Methodist Council. The United Methodist Church seeks a commitment to unity while embracing a diversity of beliefs and experiences. The Global Methodist Church is a new denomination of churches formed in response to a schism with the United Methodist Church over their understanding of human sexuality. Although similar to the United Methodist Church, United Methodists and Global Methodists do not share the same book of discipline. The Global Methodist Church is generally more strict in its rules and expectations of its churches and members, valuing uniformity in both practice and biblical understanding.
