DONATE
First United Methodist Church is a non‑profit organization that relies on the generosity of our congregation, our wider community, and the support of the Tennessee‑Western Kentucky Conference. Every gift—large or small—helps sustain the ministries that shape lives within our church and throughout Giles County. Your donations make it possible for us to continue equipping, engaging, connecting, and sending people to share the love of Jesus in meaningful and transformative ways. Through your support, our church is able to worship, serve, teach, and reach out with compassion, carrying Christ’s mission forward in our community and beyond.

FUMC Memorial Policy
Established February 17, 2025
FUMC reserves the right to expend all funds as approved by the Finance Committee in conjunction with Church Council (United Methodist Book of Discipline 2020/2024, Paragraph 258.4).
When a memorial gift is given to the church, if possible, the church administrator will send a report to the family of the honored person – including the names and addresses of givers and the total amount of the memorial fund.
Should the family wish to designate the fund to a specific active ministry, project, or related department, they should contact the pastor and/or church administrator to inform them of their preference.
If the family chooses not to designate the memorial funds within 12 months of the death of their loved one, the gifts will be used at the discretion of the Finance Committee.
Balances left in any specific, short-term fund after a memorial project is completed will be used at the discretion of the Finance Committee.
A list of memorials received – their donations, amounts, and uses – will be kept in the church office at all times.
