WESLEY / YOUNG ADULT

Wesley is the young adult ministry of First United Methodist Church of Pulaski, created to support, encourage, and connect adults who are navigating the many transitions and seasons of early adulthood. Our young adult community includes a wide and diverse group of people—those ages 18 to 40, whether in college or taking a break from school, beginning careers, working full‑time, exploring new paths, single, married, or raising young families. No matter your stage of life or faith journey, Wesley offers a place to grow in discipleship, build meaningful relationships, ask honest questions, and find a supportive community that walks with you through both the joys and challenges of adulthood.
WHAT WE DO
During the college academic year, Wesley hosts:
-
a weekly, small group gathering at the church for young people to connect over a meal, to share life's ups and downs, and to hear a word of hope,
-
a monthly, intergenerational game night, including snacks and lots of laughter at The Table, and
-
Wesley is seeking additional opportunities to engage young adults in our community.
Wesley is a registered student organization (RSO) at UT Southern also. As a RSO, Wesley regularly offers coffee and conversations at the Firehawk Cafe, co-sponsors food trucks visiting campus, and offers monthly opportunities for participants to engage in serving others.
Wesley's service projects have included: serving with MADE of Giles County, packing food boxes with Community R.F.D., and verifying cleaning buckets at the nearest United Methodist Disaster Warehouse. Special events have included: a retreat at Joe Wheeler State Park, axe throwing at TATZ, and destressing at the Rage Room in Huntsville.
Current Wesley participants frequently describe their involvement with Wesley as a safe space to be their authentic self, serve others, and find renewed hope for life and faith.
