Where to go
Traditional Worship
Traditional Worship takes place in the Historic Sanctuary on the corner of West Jefferson and Second Street.
There are multiple entrances to the church - both sets of stairs on the outside of the building near the historic FUMC Sign lead to the Sanctuary.
To the left of the stairs, is a handicap accessible entrance with a lift to our Fellowship Hall and an elevator to the Sanctuary.
You can also enter the Fellowship Hall next to the playground through a set of green double doors.
There is parking available along the street on Second Street, on West Jefferson, and also in the parking lot behind the playground.
Casual Worship
Casual Worship is held at The Table Building D (which many people know as the old A&P Building). You can enter through the corner door - doors open at 4:30pm.
The closest parking is along the street on Second Street and behind the building in the parking lot across from Second Street Church of Christ.
what to expect During the service
Traditional Worship
Our Sunday worship typically follows a traditional format. It typically lasts for one hour but can go a little over. We have printed, paper bulletins available upon entry. We begin with announcements, sing hymns from the hymnal (also projected on the screen), hear scripture read aloud by our pastor or a designated volunteer, join together in familiar prayers, and celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. We have a choir and regularly worship using the piano and organ.
Check out our bulletin below to view a typical Order of Worship.

Casual Worship
We host Casual Worship at The Table the Second Saturday of each month. Doors open at 4:30pm for people to come in, grab a snack, and chat with one another at round tables. At 5:00pm, we begin the service. We sing along to modern worship songs played by our volunteer praise band (guitar, vocalist, keyboardist, etc.). We hear a short message from the pastor or are lead through group conversation with those at our table. We take communion and are lead in prayer. Casual Worship isn't always the same, but it is always warm and inviting. After worship concludes around 6:00 - 6:30pm, people are invited to stay and chat or play games.
Check out our bulletin below to see an example of a past Casual Worship night at The Table.

what to wear
Traditional Worship
Those who attend Traditional Worship typically wear business casual attire - ranging from jeans with a nice shirt, to sundresses, to sports coats and slacks. However, there is no dress code. The Sanctuary is usually set at a comfortable 72 degrees for the sake of the instruments, but you may want to dress in layers in the Summer or Winter months.
Casual Worship
Those who attend Casual Worship typically dress in casual attire. Feel free to come as you are - muddy, sporty, or still in your scrubs.
